Ciconia 2010
The 2010 "Ciconia" Tinto is 60% Aragonez, 30% Syrah and 10% Touriga Nacional. This is a fun and fruity wine that tastes sweet and ripe. It is still probably better balanced that some earlier versions, not quite as candied or cloying and even a bit elegant after it airs out. Taking it for what it is, it can be a delightful picnic or party wine at a very pleasing, dirt cheap price. For early consumption, noting that it has little mid-palate concentration or structure, it is seriously tasty and rather charming.
