Williamsburg Handmade Oil Colors

These fine, handmade oils take their name from the Williamsburg
section of Brooklyn, New York, where they were first developed in the
late 1980's by Carl Plansky for his own use. Today, Willaimsburg Art
Materials is a small company still operated by professional painters.
Dedicated to manufacturing paints in the great European tradition,
each color is ground to enhance the character, beauty and luminosity
specific to that particular pigment. Using pure pigments and alkalirefined,
pH balanced linseed oil, the paints are ground in small
quantities to insure total control over each making of the color. The
selection of colors includes many that are unique or more difficult to
find in most artists' colors, such as the range of authentic Native Italian
Earths, Interference and Iridescent colors.
