Elastomers

Elastomers made from TDI prepolymers, using Poly-G® 55-112, 55-56, 55-37 and 55-28 offer improved tensile strength, tear resistance and resilience compared with conventional polyols. Elastomers based on MDI prepolymers, made with these same polyols, promote excellent resilience and compression set properties. Poly-G® 85-36, , an EO capped polyol, is used in prepolymers and curing agents for room-temperature cure and tire-fill elastomers. It improves resilience, compression-set and glass transition temperature. A new high-performance elastomer, incorporating the 55 series of diols with high performance polyols such as PTMEG, has been designed to obtain the best features of each. Poly-G® HQEE is an aromatic diol chain extender used in high performance elastomers and TPU applications.
